Aldrich first joined the Daisies in 2016 and in the ensuing years, the band has gone on to make three of its finest records in Make Some Noise (2016), Burn It Down (2018), and Holy Ground (2021), all of which feature Aldrich’s signature riffing, and distinctive, mind-blowing soloing.
Due to irrefutable neglect and marginalization, it sometimes feels as though the entire rock genre is on life support. As many of the lionized rock ‘n’ roll heroes of decades past prepare for their inevitable farewells before riding off into the sunset, the question arises: Who will carry the torch for the next generation? Fortunately, the genre is poised for a promising future thanks to a number of major breakthrough acts, none more notable than Los Angeles rockers Dirty Honey.
It is safe to say that musically, this is Jack White’s heaviest solo album to date. His albums tend to provide a bit of variety for the listener to feast their ears on and this is the first time that each song hits hard.
We recently caught up with ZZ Top founder and renowned six-stringer, Billy Gibbons. The multi-dimensional Gibbons, who also happens to be ZZ Top’s primary vocalist, sat down to discuss the legendary rock act’s forthcoming Raw album and accompanying Raw Whisky Tour, late bassist Dusty Hill, and more.
Some of the players listed hardly required an introduction, while others may have rekindled awareness to bands and guitarists that time has all but forgotten. “I always see the “Top Female Guitarist” lists, and I just can’t get into it, especially because sometimes it’s used to put women in competition with each other. We’re all in this together, and it’s difficult enough to be trying to make it in the music world.”

With his late ’58 Gibson Goldtop slung over his shoulder, Clem Clempson’s voice still reverberates through the annals of Rock history. Once forgotten, but now, waiting to be discovered by legions of new fans throughout new eras.
