Anecdotes & Albums: A Summary of KISS Army Servitude

Without going into anymore grizzled details, KISS has been a huge part of my life, Joe’s life and subsequently, our friendship. So, today Joe and I are going to hash out five albums that were important to us as proud members of the KISS Army.

KISSTORY in Dubai

Like many you of, I assumed New Year’s Eve in 2020 would be boring and spent at home. Then about a month ago I saw that KISS had some kind of “big announcement” and that we all should stay tuned, and I was left wondering what it was. As you all know by now, the announcement was a New Year’s Eve mega show to take place at The Palm in Dubai, which was being called “KISS 2020 Goodbye.”

An Interview with Anton Fig of Frehley’s Comet

I came to find out that a drummer named Anton Fig played on Dynasty, Unmasked as well as Ace Frehley‘s self-titled album, Ace Frehley. I also came to find that Anton had played on the bulk of Ace’s solo output. His style of drumming was entirely different than my previous idols. I know today that Anton’s love of Jazz was heavily incorporated into his Rock/Fusion style, but at the time, I had no real grasp of what I was hearing.

As a kid growing up, I loved Tod’s fantastic song with Frehley’s Comet “Calling to You.” So, when I began this interview series, I knew that I had to reach out to one of Rock music’s most versatile and genuinely nice guys.
