However, it has become hugely popular over time and even reached number 15 in the U.K. Singles Chart following a re-release in 2007. Such is the popularity of the song; the city of Las Vegas wanted it to become the official song of the city. 

When the Vegas Golden Knights, an NHL team, win their home matches, the song is played inside the arena. Games, including blackjack, poker, and roulette, are mentioned in the song, in addition to neon lights and slot machines.

“The Jack” by AC/DC

“The Jack” by AC/DC featured as the third track on their 1975 album, T.N.T. As with many of the songs produced by AC/DC, some of the lyrics push the boundaries of what would be acceptable to many people, but “The Jack” certainly hits the right notes in terms of rock songs about gambling. The song compares the thrill of gambling with dating a woman, with lines including “She was holdin’ a pair, but I had to try”, “her deuce was wild, but my ace was high” and “From the tattoo on her left leg and the garter on her right, she’d have the card to bring me down if she played it right”.
