A Review of Waiver Wire’s Newest Single, “Battery Health”

We’ve got a new earworm and it’s Waiver Wire’s new single, “Battery Health,” due out December 17th, 2021.

Upon first listening, we were automatically thrown back to the all too familiar sounds of the early to mid-2000s, but with a modern spin. The first half of “Battery Health” brings on a creeping feeling of loneliness, and steadily builds upon that course by eliciting feelings in relation to the modern digital age.

The sentiment of being constantly connected and unsure of who others really are. “Battery Health” forces you to really think about how separated yet connected we all are in the world today. The song is a somewhat brutal self-introspection of who we are on the inside.

Ultimately, “Battery Health” is catchy, it’s fast and has its ups and downs which keep you on your toes throughout the entire listen, and leave you wanting more.

For those who love the past and present of the genre, Pop Punk and Emo aren’t dead, and in “Batter Health,” we have full-fledged proof.
